Dental Veneer in
Mission Viejo, CA

A chipped front tooth, stubborn stains, or a small gap can make you hide a smile that is otherwise healthy. Dental veneers fix exactly that. These thin, custom-made shells cover the front surface of your teeth, improving their color, shape, size, or length in a way that looks like you and not like a row of piano keys. At Vartanian Dental Group in Mission Viejo, every veneer is designed around your face, your features, and your goals.

What Veneers Can Fix

Veneers handle the cosmetic problems that whitening and braces often cannot:

  • Deep discoloration that does not respond to teeth whitening.
  • Chipped or worn front teeth.
  • Gaps between teeth.
  • Minor misalignment or uneven tooth shape.
  • Teeth that look too short or too small Veneers do more than improve appearance.

The porcelain shell also covers the front surface of the tooth, adding a layer over the natural tooth underneath.

Why We Use Porcelain Veneers

We craft our veneers from porcelain, also called ceramic, because it produces the most natural-looking and durable result. Porcelain does something other materials cannot: it mimics the translucency and light-reflecting quality of real tooth enamel, so the veneer catches light the way a natural tooth does rather than looking flat or opaque.

Porcelain is also highly resistant to staining from coffee, tea, red wine, and tobacco, the everyday culprits that discolor natural teeth over time. Each veneer is custom-made for your smile in a dental laboratory, then bonded to the front of your tooth for a result built to last. It is the option we trust for a smile that looks like you, only better.

Our Veneer Process, Step by Step

Your veneers are completed over two visits.

First appointment, preparing your teeth

After we design your smile and agree on the plan and cost, a small amount of enamel is gently reshaped so each veneer will fit precisely. We take impressions and your custom porcelain veneers are crafted in a dental laboratory.

Second appointment, placing your veneers

Once your veneers are ready, we bond them permanently to the front of your teeth, then check the fit, comfort, and look so everything feels right before you leave.

Why Patients Choose
Our Office for Veneers

Veneers are equal parts dentistry and artistry. Dr. James Vartanian has spent 26 years in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, including 12 years here in Mission Viejo, crafting veneers that complement each patient’s unique features rather than a one-size-fits-all white. Patients have left more than 1,300 Google reviews, with a 4.9 star average.

Because the practice is multi-specialty, any groundwork your smile needs first, from gum treatment to a crown on a weaker tooth, happens in the same office. You will find us on the first floor of Pacific Canyons Medical Center at 26302 La Paz Rd #203, off the I-5 at La Paz Road. Patients visit for veneers from across the city and nearby Rancho Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Niguel, Rancho Santa Margarita, and Aliso Viejo.

Veneer Cost, Insurance, & Financing

Veneer pricing depends on how many teeth you treat and the complexity of the design, so a quote for “a veneer” means little without an exam. After your consultation, you receive one written quote covering the full treatment, with no fees added later.

One honest note: because veneers are usually considered cosmetic, most insurance plans do not cover them. We will still verify your benefits in case part of your treatment qualifies, and monthly payment plans through CareCredit and Citi can spread the cost into manageable amounts. See our financing options before your visit.

Caring for Your Veneers

Veneers do not need special products, just consistent habits. Brush twice a day with a non-abrasive toothpaste, floss daily, and keep up your regular cleanings and exams so we can check the bond and polish the edges. Treat veneers like natural teeth in one more way: do not use them as tools. Opening packages, biting nails, and chewing ice are the three habits that shorten a veneer’s life the most. If you grind your teeth at night, ask us about a custom night guard. It is an inexpensive way to protect an investment designed to last 10 to 15 years.

Frequently Asked Questions

With proper care and maintenance, veneers typically last 10 to 15 years. Regular checkups, good daily hygiene, and avoiding habits like nail biting or chewing ice help them last toward the longer end.

No. The process is designed to be minimally invasive. A small amount of enamel may be reshaped for a perfect fit, but the procedure preserves the integrity of your natural teeth underneath.

Two. At the first visit we prepare your teeth and take impressions so your porcelain veneers can be custom-made in a lab. At the second visit, we bond the finished veneers permanently in place.

Most people with healthy teeth and gums are, but a consultation is essential. Oral health, enamel thickness, and habits like teeth grinding all influence the decision. If veneers are not the right fit, we will tell you and suggest what is.

It depends on how many teeth you treat and the design involved, which is why we give every patient a complete written quote after the consultation. CareCredit and Citi payment plans can spread the cost into monthly amounts.

No, veneers do not respond to whitening treatments. That is why many patients whiten their natural teeth first, then have veneers matched to the new shade for a uniform result.
