If it has been a while, or if dental visits make you anxious, you are in good hands. Your first visit is relaxed and unhurried. We review your health history, take any needed images, give you a thorough cleaning and exam, and answer every question. There is no lecture and no pressure, just a clear picture of your oral health, practical dental hygiene tips, and a plan that fits you. Preventive care is the heart of what we do.
A quick note on “deep cleanings”: a routine cleaning is different from a deep cleaning, also called scaling and root planing, which treats active gum disease below the gumline. If your exam shows you need that, we will explain why. You can learn more on our gum disease treatment page.
You will find us on the first floor of Pacific Canyons Medical Center at 26302 La Paz Rd #203, just off the I-5 at the La Paz Road exit, with on-site parking. We welcome patients from across the city, Rancho Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Niguel, Rancho Santa Margarita, and Aliso Viejo. Open Monday to Thursday 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday 8 AM to 3 PM.

Does a dental cleaning hurt?

What is the difference between a regular cleaning and a deep cleaning?
A regular cleaning removes plaque and tartar from the visible tooth surfaces and along the gumline. A deep cleaning, or scaling and root planing, goes below the gumline to treat active gum disease. Your exam tells us which you need.
What happens during the exam?
